The next time you’re on the highway in Fernie,
BC, you’ll see Kendra’s artwork on a city
banner. To find her original watercolour paintings, reproductions
and art cards, pop into the Fernie Arts
Co-op at 572 2nd Avenue. Kendra’s cards can also be found
at Carosella in Downtown Fernie.
Fernie holds a firm place
in her heart though, and she will be back to visit as often as
possible.
"I lived in Fernie for 5½ years, and
it is where I started my art career. Bright blue skies, gleaming
white mountain tops and golden tamarack trees were a constant
source of inspiration, along with an endless list of beautiful
vistas in this quiet mountain setting. How could one not want
to paint it all? Fernie is a magical place - it showed me my dream
and helped me realize I can make it happen.”
